Aight, aight we had some good competition this week. But May 17th’s Hip Hop Album of the Week winner had to go to my man Oddisee with his new album Odd Seasons. I’ve heard Oddisee’s stuff before so when I saw his new album I got kinda psyched to see new material. I gave the album a listen and liked it a lot. Any fan of Oddisee knows that sound he has and would not be dissapointed with this album as he delivers that dope sound and production through all 32 tracks on this album. From some trippy electronic sounding beats, to that straight knockin’ hip hop instrumental, to his cold flow lyrics over his own beats, this album definitely deserves some attention. So, my rating…

8.5/10

I recommend this album to any fan of J Dilla, Nottz, Black Milk, Oh No, Kev Brown, or anybody who sounds like them.
