Did I just hear A Tribe Called Quest? CunninLynguists? A crazy, intoxicating mixture of the two? Nahhh, I heard Superstar Quamallah and DeQawn’s album Talkin’ All That Jazz. ALL OF YOU JAZZY HIP HOP FANS OUT THERE NEED TO COP THIS ALBUM NOW! The first track of the album gives a sublime taste of the jazzy hip hop that makes up the entire album. The vocals are smooth as hell and the beats remind me somethin of Digable Planets. I can’t put my finger on it but there’s just somethin about these guys thats got me thrown back to the jazzy hip hop age of the early 90’s with ATCQ, Pete Rock and the likes. There are a few tracks where they go in hard and have a totally different feel than the rest of the album, but overall this album is classic hip hop and you should definitely check it out. So, my rating…

8.5/10

I recommend this album to any fan of CunninLynguists, A Tribe Called Quest, or Digable Planets.
