Blu and Exile to Release “New” Album!

no thumb

Why is “new” in quotations? Well, if you’re a solid Blu & Exile fan, you’ve probably heard this album already. But, if you’re like some, this album just happened to slip by you without you even noticing. The thing is, this release came out in 2011 via Bandcamp to the excitement of die-hard Below the Heavens fans; however, this was not what fans were hoping for, nor was it what they were expecting. The album was praised for its originality and classic Blu & Exile-type music, but the problem was the quality. This is where the criticism came in and why the album is no where’s near being as highly regarded as their first project. So, the album was kind of swept under the rug for a bit as fans did not want such a low-quality sounding album. It was also highly-bootlegged and the album became thought of as a “mixtape” or “free album” download.

Well, for all those Blu & Exile fans, be prepared to give this album a chance, because Blu & Exile have confirmed that they will re-release Give Me My Flowers While I Can Smell Them on September 4th, 2012 as a high-quality, studio-produced version of the 2011 one. Rejoice fans, rejoice and get your wallets ready to go out and buy the album when it drops this fall!

BUT, as an added bonus, to keep y’all waiting, the duo has decided to drop a 10-track EP on July 24th entitled, Maybe One Day. Appreciate the good news people – all that ranting and raving actually paid off.

If you’re unfamiliar with the duo, this is one of their most popular songs on YouTube:
