Most freestyle-rappers are notorious for being not-so-good at putting together an album as they are too used to freestyling and now writing rhymes. That is the exact opposite with Brooklyn freestyle-MC Wordsworth. Wordsworth has mastered freestyling and writing rhymes. Since his studio debut in 2000, Wordsworth has put out solo tracks and features that prove that he is one of the most lyrical underground artists of our time. What is really great about Wordsworth’s rhymes is that he puts that freestyle touch on every track; by that I mean there are prominent multi’s and dirty rhyme-schemes that leave you astounded. I find him easiliy comparable to eLZhi, both in technique and sound. The beats are perfect for the type of rapper that Wordsworth is – not mainstream, but they go hard and have simple, yet dope samples. This is one talented emcee and this is one great album – it’s very reflective of Wordsworth life, and his skills. Also a great storyteller, Wordsworth lets his listeners in on his life in The Photo Album and takes you on a lyrical rollercoaster that never slows down. He is a lyrical genius and deserves the top spot on the Hip Hop Speakeasy. So, my rating…

8.5/10

I recommend this album to any fan of eLZhi, Masta Ace, or anyone who has that complex rhyme-scheme.
