What is Lupe thinking?
There have been rumors swirling around that Lupe Fiasco may quit his music career, especially after being confronted by another Chicago rapper.
Instead of furthering the feud by tossing another insult to Keef, Lupe responded kindly, saying:
On the Rap Attack Radio show, Hosts AJ and Angel Baby were getting Lupe’s take on the Chicago rap scene, especially on Chief Keef’s rise in popularity. Here’s what Lupe had to say:
“Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but just the culture he represents. Specifically in Chicago. I don’t speak this about any other city, because I haven’t lived there. My family and friends live in these Chicago neighborhoods that Keef represents. When you drive through the neighborhoods, and you see these hoodlums who are shooting people, they all look like Chief Keef. ”
He goes on noting how the number of shootings in Chicago continue to grow and he also adds that he believes more suspects look like they’ve been influenced by Chief Keef.
Lupe later tweeted statements that are pretty much him indicating his retirement from hip hop. Read his series of melancholy tweets below:
