Dallas hip hoppers Sivion and Freddie Bruno decided to put out this remix project of the former’s 2010 album, Butterfly Sessions. Producer Freddie Bruno has a poignant antiquity to his production style that creates a whole new world for Sivion’s “real-life stuff.” Emcee Sivion lays down some swingy rhymes that sway with groove, despite the fact that these are not the original beats. All in all, this is a solid hip hop remix project, with a delicate touch of jazz and a sweet note of soul, all put a few substantial tracks.
