Rapper Gone Wallace comes to us with his sixth independent project, High Renaissance II. Using a futuristic platform to launch his progressive lyrics, Gone Wallace’s High Renaissance II is quite the experimental project. Featuring borrowed production from 9th Wonder, DMB and more, Gone Wallace stays rooted in traditional hip hop sounds, but incorporates extra-terrestrial elements as if he were looking at the stars. His flow, although matter-of-factly and choppy fits alright over the beats and, at least he’s saying something more relevant to the days and times. High Renaissance is a model to prove that Gone Wallace is still a work in progress, but it’s a good look towards the future of this rappers career.
