Collectives are great because they offer a wide array of sounds and styles that somehow seemingly blend together. Pragmatic Theory happens to be the unofficial wizard of collectives as their gargantuan roster boasts names such as Ta-Ku, Repeat Pattern, and other producers from around the world. This eclectic group of wordly producers got together again recently to conjure up this super soulful project entitled, The Soul Sessions. Being a staggering 34-tracks long, the album can drearily go on and on after a while, but if you hold your attention steadfast, you can marvel at the sounds delicately crafted for this project. While some beats shine bright and others modestly attest good musicianship, it is clear that these producers come together to make good music, pure and simple, and that’s what they deliver on their latest effort, The Soul Sessions.
