Experimental wizard Jneiro Jarel returns with the Flora EP, his first solo effort in a few years. Flora finds the multi-talented artist exploring a range of sounds, from the dance-influenced “The Path (Face Your Fears)” to the calmer, exotic “Cahuita [kou – Ee – Tuh].” Even at just five tracks, Jarel jam-packs this EP with full compositions featuring elements of hip-hop, electronica, experimental/ambient, dance and other worldly music elements. The Flora EP is a must-have; it has a warm feel to it, so maybe it will help warm us up as the weather cools down.
