Seattle’s Dave B seems to have bailed on an expected album, so instead, he’s gifted listeners with two free tracks in the form of Loosies. Dave B at one point teamed up with fellow Emerald City producer Jake One and Portland’s Stewart Villain to make “Leaves” and “Church Clothes” respectively. The former is jazzy and conscious, something akin to a track by Chance the Rapper. The latter is more energetic with more of a feel-good vibe, yet still with definitive jazz undertones. Well, without an album, these will most certainly do. Not to worry too much, however, as we can most likely expect something entirely new from the Northwest emcee – just not the planned Doughnuts LP.
