Detroit producer 14KT is on an electronic kick, made apparent by “Elelator.” After releasing “BlackAPhonic” a few months ago, it’s clear that 14KT is digging the fast-paced, upbeat sounds of electronic music. His sampling abilities are still sharp, but his rhythms and dynamics are totally left-field of the former Athletic Mic League member. This song is intense, warped with unrecognizable vocal samples, and buzzing with synths and other club sounds. The song goes through an interesting switch up about three quarters of the way through that takes on a more familiar drum style, but still keeps the energy pumping. So put your party hats on and dance on to 14KT’s latest innovation, “Elelator.”
