P.S. 4080 put in work gathering content from emcees and producers all over the U.S. to create a multifaceted mixtape known as the Back of the Bus LP. The hour-long project ranges from dusty, lo-fi to all out bangers. Acts hail from multiple states and counties and cities, names like SchylerChaise and Jimmy Kelso of ForeverFC, Smoke DZA, iLLmont, ScienZe, Que Hampton, JohnNY U., and Amerigo Gazaway are just a few of the talents to offer up music on this compilation. The tape is inspired by bus rides back in grade school, when the back of the bus was the spot for cool kids, and before MP3 players mix CDs were traded and the newest music was discovered. If that wasn’t creative enough, the Back of the Bus LP is divided into two parts: the first half being the more laid-back “morning ride,” and the second half being the more rowdy “afternoon ride.” Too many tracks to give props, too.
