In remembrance of the late, great James Yancey, aka J Dilla aka Jay Dee: Today his fans, friends and family alike celebrate his birthday, five years after his unfortunate passing. In his honor, I have decided to post a little tribute/preview of his 2006 album, Donuts. This album is arguably one of the greatest instrumental projects in hip hop history. The samples, the drums, every aspect of every track is gold. Please, everybody pay homage to the late, great producer that he was and share his music so that it can live on forever in the world of music.
