“Napalm” – Funky DL

pic129

A recreation of a track assembled on the spot at a jazz lounge, “Napalm” brings out the best of Funky DL. A smooth sample chop, with vocals chopped up too, the beat rides a little conversely than the title may imply. It is more of the sharp flow and old-school-esque wordplay of DL that really shows how this song is “Napalm.” DL does both the beat and the rhymes and does both better than tons of emcees out their today. The hook is sung incredibly, and is my favorite part of the track. Funky DL has absolutely no problem captivating his audience and drawing them in, especially when he throws in extra versions of this track, as well as a hardcore B-Side, all via his Bandcamp.
