In an interview with Byward of Mouth, Blu, the Cali-rapper with a huge following due to the widespread acclaim and recognition with his Exile-produced debut entitled, Below the Heavens, stated that he may be throwing in the towel when it comes to the rap game.

“I feel, I feel really guilty for telling people that… being so young. But you know what? With 30 around the corner and me being true to my word, man, it’s a mountain that I’m looking at, you know what I mean? So maybe, maybe not…”

Although discussing his career in general, the fact that he was feeling a little doubtful of his future in hip hop was pretty evident. The following solidified that uncertainty:

“I have a record with a hometown producer that may be my last record called Good to Be Home, with the homie Bombay.”

Blu himself said it might be time for the curtain call. Although he went on to further mention possibly doing one more project with Alchemist.

“I have some pretty dope records in the cut with Alchemist…that we’re looking to put out. He wants to go on and do an album, we may go in to do an album…”

Hopefully, if anything, Blu’s just pulling a Jay-Z here and Good to Be Home will be his sort of Black Album, but we will just have to really wait and see. Check out the full video interview below.
