Mattic is a favorite of mine so I’m always excited to see what he comes up with next. Recently, the U.S.-born, France-dwelling emcee linked up with hip-hop production team/live band The Mouse Outfit to craft the Born Lupers EP. Mattic has an innate, old-school boom-bap ear for beats, so The Mouse Outfit is a natural pairing for the rapper. The Mouse Outfit puts together the production (Pitch), adds some instrumentation (Ashley Henry on the keys and Sam Vicary on bass), and then provides Mattic with some jazz-influenced instrumentals.
