Sup, comin’ from the Hip Hop Speakeasy is the newest “Hip Hop Album of the Week.” Album of the Year. classic Detroit producer Black Milk dropped his latest album today on September 14, 2010. The album, in my opinion, is expertally assembled with great features from fellow Detroit artists Royce da 5’9″, eLZhi, and Mr. Porter, as well as other great performers such as Melanie Rutherford and AB. The beats still remind me of the late great Jay Dee, but I know Black Milk’s got his own sound and has gotten enough comparison to J Dilla. His sounds are dope as hell and always deliver the listener with a head bangin rhythm. So, my rating…

9/10

I recommend this album to any fan of Detroit Hip Hop (NOT Eminem), J Dilla, 9th Wonder, or any Black Milk material. This is a great album.
