Shad: melancholy and the infinite shadness [2012]

shadmelancholy

As a birthday present to his fans, Canadian phenom Shad released this FREE EP last week through his Bandcamp. It’s been 2 years since the underground rapper released a studio album, but with releases like this, I think we can all happily await his next major project. It’s only 5 tracks deep, but the lyricism on this album is Godly. Shad has always been an artist I thoroughly support, so when I saw this release, I had to get on it. I can’t stop listening to it – it’s both upbeat and classy. It’s unique and awesome. Every track is a hit. My personal favorite has got to be “it aint over.” “old Prince” is also incredibly dope. Forever rhyming consciously and always stay true to himself, Shad impresses (yet again) with this release. You can get the whole thing, technically for FREE, but why not give Shad a few dollars to help fund his next album, eh? Name your price over on his Bandcamp and download the album HERE! Also, you can stream the entire EP below; enjoy:

9.5/10
