The legendary J-Live returns once again with a cut off of his upcoming album, His Own Self. The thumping rhythm of “Red & The Kid” is J-Live’s ode to hip-hop greats as the song bears a somewhat old-school vibe, both in the instrumental and J-Live’s flow. Also, the hook repeats “peace to Red Alert and Kid Capri,” those that’s pretty self-explanatory. Regardless, the song is funky and a fresh bit of music from the man.
